FAQ

Who may participate in the Patriotic Heritage Allegiant Honor Guard?

Young ladies from the age of 11 through the age of 18 may join the group. Girls joining this group will be
expected to adhere to the PHAHG policy and guidelines (hyperlink to word doc). There will be
beginning lessons, starting in the fall each year. The more advanced young ladies will practice their skills
during these lessons. After the lesson for the day has been given, all young ladies will work together to
learn the skills from the more advanced young ladies.

When and where are the training sessions given?

Training is given twice a month.  Exceptions are made in June and July, when there is only one training per month.  November and December dates are also subject to change as needed for Holidays. For more information about training, please contact us – link to the contact form.

Where do you perform?

We have been honored to provide flag services for many events, including the Minnesota Fallen Firefighters Memorial service, Minnesota Peace Officers Memorial Day, 9-11 Commemorative service, and Veterans day services at various schools and cities.

The PHAHG also marches in parades and performs flag services for other organizations upon request. We will perform these flag ceremonies indoors or outdoors.

The Patriotic Heritage Allegiant Honor Guard may be requested for any event or service, but the PHHG Board of Directors will determine if the event or service is suitable for the young ladies.  Adult leaders always accompany the young ladies to any activity they are at and maintain a two-deep leadership quotient.

What role does the PHAHG play in an event and services?

The PHAHG’s role is carefully planned for each event or service.  While it may vary from event to event or service to service, typically the PHAHG will either post and retire the colors or present the colors, depending on the need.

We have a large array of flags and usually perform with our own flags and equipment, however we will use others flags if they are in good condition.

When appropriate, we like to carry our PHHG and/or our PHAHG flags which represent our organization.

Is there a cost for the Honor Guard performance?

Patriotic Heritage Allegiant Honor Guard is a public service organization and will perform all services for no fee. Any costs that might occur will be taken care of by PHHG, but donations, gratuities, stipends and honorariums are accepted.
